About the Artists
KAREN ROKOS, HARP
Known for her dramatic style, harpist Karen Rokos performs regularly with Symphony Nova Scotia, the Maine State Ballet Orchestra and Symphony by the Sea in Salem, Massachusetts. Ms. Rokos studied with Marjorie Call at the University of Redlands where she earned her Bachelor of Music and with internationally renowned harpist Susann McDonald at Indiana University, obtaining her Masters of Music in Harp Performance with a concentration in Harp Pedagogy. She is a much sought-after performer and teacher throughout the Eastern United States and Canada and specializes in music for the theatre.

PATRICIA CREIGHTON, FLUTE
Patricia Creighton is currently Principal Flutist with Symphony Nova Scotia (Bernhard Gueller, Artistic Director), a position she has held since its’ inception. Her extensive repertoire spans from baroque to modern in solo, concerto, chamber and orchestral literature. She has performed with many illustrious musicians from around the country and has concertized across Canada, in the U.S., Germany, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia and Mexico. She is well known to audiences around the Maritimes. Aside from a busy performing schedule and being young at heart, Patty shares her love of music by teaching as an instructor at Dalhousie University's Department of Music. She performs on an old Verne Powell flute with a Wimberly headjoint.
She spent time at the Banff Centre and received a BMUS from University of Toronto.
